• We have had a great start to the beginning of the year.

• During the first week of school, we concentrated on becoming familiar with the rules and routines of third grade.

• We also got to know each other a little better during our beginning of the year scavenger hunt.  We found other students in the class that had the same different attributes that each of us have.

• This week, we have started to introduce ourselves to all of the textbooks that we will be using.

• I have also been doing some beginning of the year assessments.  I am starting to get a good idea about your child's strengths and weaknesses.

• Next week we will be working very hard reading, writing and doing math.
