Hello, I'm Mr. Dudlo, the 5th grade special education teacher at Field-Stevenson School. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. My email address is:
It's hard to believe that we are half way through the 2016-2017 school year. My hope is that all students dedicate themselves to follow through with this year's theme, "Getting Gritty With It!" What is GRIT? It is a combination of passion and persistence that leads to outstanding achievement. It is the desire to do your best and never give up.
I encourage all students to practice their reading, writing, math, and other skills regularly. A daily homework expectation is for students to practice their repeated readings passages and SLANT reading packets daily at home. As an incentive, I'm offering Shark Bites as a reward for students that record their timed repeated readings and SLANT reading practices and upload their video to SeeSaw. This is an excellent way for students to monitor their own progress in reading. It is also a great way for me to assess student reading skills. I also encourage students to upload their best writing samples, art work, or other assignments they are proud of and would like to share. So let's demonstrate our grit and make the 3rd and 4th quarters of this school year even better than the first two.
